Akira is IT Engineer in Tokyo. He is a member of WordPress Documentation Team and leader of Gutenberg Codex pages. Since 2015, he has been translating Codex or Handbooks, and will share those experiences in the Translation Day.

Alex is an SEO / SEM, Internet Marketer with a wide variety of work experience across industries and domains like Films, TV Production, Customer Service, Politics, Government Operations, Press Relations, Graphic & Web Design to finally Internet Marketing & SEO. For the last four to five years he has been involved with the Indian WordPress Community which has helped him use WordPress for his clients better. He’s often seen ranting about politics on Twitter.

Chandra Patel - Translating WordPress to Gujarati


I fell in love with WordPress in 2014 while freelancing as a web developer. I have grown since then to become a regular Core contributor, General Translation Editor for Gujarati, and has contributed to WordPress Meta projects. I am a VP of Engineering at rtCamp and also lead their internal training program. Over the years, I have developed a love for learning, and hope to learn WordPress ever more “deeply”. You can catch me reading, watching movies and exploring the city over the weekends.

Daniele Scasciafratte - How to use GlotDict for high quality and quick reviews


Daniele is an Open Source Multiversal guy, he works in his web agency in Codeat in Rome, and the rest of the day collaborates in many opensource projects. During the office hours for the WordPress world he is a Core Contributor, plugin developer, project translator editor and WP Roma meetup co-organizer. He fights with the superpower of a Mozilla Rep for an open web, is co-leading the participation team of Mozilla Italia and sometimes is an Italian gestures speaker.

Dominik Schilling - GlotPress features for WordPress Translators


Dominik Schilling is a Web Developer and a WordPress core developer with a strong passion for WordPress. He led the WordPress 4.6 release, is the technical lead of the Polyglots team and lead developer of GlotPress, a collaborative, web-based software translation tool. Since that’s not enough he also takes part in the meta and security teams to make more awesome and WordPress more secure.

Mayo Moriyama -


Mayo is a travelholic freelance front-end engineer from Japan, where almost 80% of CMS websites use WordPress. She started her career in Cambodia helping the tourism industry and NGOs in building and creating their web sites. In 2013, she returned to Tokyo and joined the local WordPress community, became translator, Meetup organizer and lead organizer of WordCamp Tokyo 2014.

Naoko is a Japanese GTE & Locale Manager. She is also a part of Team Global at Automattic, which facilitates internationalization and localization of and other products. She has been involved in the Japanese WordPress community since 2003, contributing in the areas of translation, documentation, and community organization.

Pascal is a Belgian based in Italy, missing the beer and the chocolate but loving the coffee and food. Started with WordPress only in 2013, but fell in love immediately. He is currently a Polyglots team mentor and moderator. As plugin author he found back his PHP roots from many many years ago.

Petya is a Senior Project Manager and event manager at Human Made and the community lead for the WordPress Polyglots team. Petya helped organise WordCamp Europe 2014 and WordCamp Europe 2015 and lead the team that organised WordCamp Europe 2016 in Vienna.

Swapnil Patil -


He started his WordPress journey back in Jan 2014; his passion for WordPress started at the college itself. He hasn’t look back after that, having enjoyed each moment of his professional life. He got immense happiness in giving back the community, by co-organizing WordCamp Pune, publishing a couple of plugins, being a Locale Manager for Marathi WordPress Project, and contributing to the core WordPress recently. Currently, he is Freelancing, mainly concentrating on WordPress, He is also GTE for Marathi WordPress project.
